I Can Do
Making Cool Stuff
My name is Lee Bird and I've been designing, crafting, snapping and coding cool stuffs for well over a decade now. Here is my little place on the internet to show off some of my cool stuff and sum a few things up.
I studied graphic design and photography rather briefly however I've been working as a designer for some time now and have self taught myself everything I know.
I've probably spent more time learning than I ever would have done in a classroom. I'm proficient in Graphic Design, Web Design, Photography and Image Restoration using Adobe Creative Cloud's Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Graphic Design
This is my main area of expertise. I've designed everything from a small sticker or business card to huge signs, membership campaigns and corporate branding.
Web Design
Working closely with developers on multiple projects I've built a pretty good understand of all things HTML, CSS and a few other web acronyms.
Photography
This is where I started. Photography has been rather sidelined to more of a hobby these days but it's still an ace up my sleeve.
Image Restoration
Mixing my knowledge and experience of photography and editing, image restoring is something I truly enjoy both as work and as a hobby.
Case Studies
| CASTLEFORD TIGERS RLFC
My first time working with the Castleford Tigers was the 2014 season. Since then I have worked with the club creating graphics for subsequent season ticket campaigns and marketing material for every single game.
I've also created everything from a calendar to stadium signage, shop fittings, window decals, billboards, vouchers, tickets, staff passes, letter templates, business cards, brochures, special event posters, social media covers, squad launch graphics and much more.
In the time I've worked for the Tigers I've also designed and created their website twice with the most recent iteration being launched in 2021.
| ADIDAS SCHUHE BOOKS
This books series acts as a reference guide for collectors of vintage Adidas Shoes & Trainers released in the 1970's and 1980s.
The series includes 3 volumes; Book 1 : Europe, Book 2: North America and Book 3: Islands & The Rest of The World. Over 200 pages long each book includes a detailed reference of each shoe with images, names, origin, and the date of manufacture.
The series sold 1000's of copies over a 2 year period to a niche market and received great reviews as a 'must have' guide for collectors. With the same client I'm now currently creating a photographic guide exploring the iconic street and neon signs of L.A.
| OTHER PROJECTS
When possible I use my spare time and skills to help & volunteer with my community, friends and family. It's been a great way for learning new techniques and explore different design ideas. From creating posters for local community events to wedding invitations for my brother. I've also worked with content creators and streamers making youtube thumbnails, avatars and emotes too.
| IMAGE RESTORATIONS
Image restoration is the latest skill I have been working to become more adept and proficient at.
Blending my skills of photography and editing along with my interest for history I've learned many ways to bring old pictures back to life.
I've learned to accurately and carefully remove marks and schuffs from ageing images and general wear and tear as well as adding colour and rebuilding details lost over time.
